Choose a material for the layout's scale
Post No. 226 contains festive text prompts. Compare two of them: red velvet with gold edges and a transparent letter filled with red hearts.
Velvet suits a short word or brief phrase with wide letters. For the glass version, start with one letter or number: narrow, small characters may not leave room for the hearts.
For the exercise, make a card featuring “14”. Add the remaining greeting in a regular font in your editor. This makes it easier to assess the material without simultaneously tackling long text and complex reflections.
Velvet with gold trim
Velvet lettering with gold trim
The word [Your Text] in bold three-dimensional letters made of deep red velvet with golden edges. Floating hearts and soft glowing particles around the text. Warm romantic lighting, luxurious Valentine’s Day aesthetic, shallow depth of field, ultra-high detail, cinematic render, 8KReplace [Your Text] entirely. Red velvet forms the main surface, and gold edges distinguish the faces. Check that gold has not taken over the whole letter, producing ordinary metallic lettering with red reflections.
Velvet should look different from plastic. Expect soft light transitions and a fibrous texture rather than sharp mirror highlights. If the material is unclear, try a closer view while retaining the word's shape and red color.
Keep floating hearts and light particles secondary. A heart covering a letter opening removes readability along with the decoration's purpose.
A glass form
A glass letter with hearts inside
A three-dimensional glass letter [Your Text], made of crystal-clear transparent glass. The letter is completely filled with bright red, velvety 3D hearts with soft textures and rich color. Additional small red hearts are floating and gently hovering around the letter, creating a sense of motion and depth. Sunlight highlights pass through the glass, producing realistic reflections, refractions, light glitter, and subtle sparkles. Soft shadows, high realism, ultra-detailed, cinematic lighting. Clean, light pastel background, airy and romantic atmosphere, shallow depth of field, 8KHere the main form is transparent glass. Hearts sit inside, with a few floating nearby. Check this separation: a red letter with hearts on its surface is a different effect.

Glass can disappear against a light background. Visible wall thickness, edge refraction and a soft shadow help. Uniform gray shading over the entire letter makes it cloudy rather than transparent.
Control depth of field
Both prompts use shallow depth of field. This can blur the background attractively, but sometimes blurs part of the word too. It is easier to control for a short number than a long line whose letters sit at different depths.
If an end character is unreadable, specify focus across the whole text. Information matters more than heavy blur in an advertising card. Keep background particles soft and the main object sharp.
Warm light supports the red-and-gold version. The glass scene needs a clear distinction between shell and hearts. The same lighting therefore may not suit both materials equally well.
Assemble the final card
Keep one main object and a short caption. Put discounts, dates and service names on separate text layers for easy correction and translation. Do not turn every line into velvet or glass.
Compare versions at the same size. Velvet may hold the silhouette more clearly; glass reveals an interior scene. Choose based on what viewers should notice first. For more neutral metallic lettering, see the liquid-gold prompt.
