Horror collage: 40 PNGs for posters and covers

A free collection inspired by analog horror cinema: torn paper, cinema tickets, VHS, warning tape, damaged frames and printed marks. All 40 elements are separate PNGs with transparent backgrounds.

Use a light sheet behind the headline and black or red paper as another layer. Torn edges stand out against a contrasting background.

Cinema tickets, VHS and film

Place one object beside the photo: a ticket, cassette or film strip. It suggests a late-night screening while leaving room for text.

Warning tape and labels

Angle one strip diagonally or secure a photo corner with crossed masking tape. Any lettering on the elements is already part of the PNG.

Frames and cracked glass

Place the photo on a separate layer beneath the frame. Use cracked glass over the image; fine cracks are easier to see against a dark background.

Prints, stamps and scratches

Start with one print or stamp. Adjust its size and opacity so the texture does not obscure a face, date or main headline.

How to use them

  1. Open the collection and download the archive. It contains 40 separate PNGs.
  2. Add a photo, one backdrop and a few details in Figma, Photoshop or another editor. Keep each element on a separate layer.
  3. Type your own headline and date. Check readability at a small size, then export the finished layout.

For an unusual starting photo, try four horror scenes using your portrait.
